Privacy

This website is run by Delam Studios. We use analytics to understand how people find Mercifall and what they do here, such as watching the trailer, opening the browser demo, or joining the TestFlight beta.

What we measure

• Pages you view on this site.
• Clicks on buttons such as Play Demo, TestFlight, and the press kit, and which part of the page they were in.
• How much of the trailer plays.
• That an email signup succeeded, and which form it came from. Never the address.
• The campaign tags in the link that brought you here (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) and the website that sent you.
• General device, browser, and approximate location information that our analytics providers derive on their side.

What we do not collect

We never send names, email addresses, or anything you type to analytics. Apart from email you send us, the only address we keep is one you give us for the launch email (below). The browser demo needs no account, and it keeps its settings and progress in your browser. We do not sell this data.

Launch email

If you sign up on the home page, we keep your email address so we can email you when the full game of Mercifall is released. Nothing else.

• You sign up only by ticking “Email me when Mercifall launches”. The box is never ticked for you.
• Your address, and the IP address your signup came from, go to Buttondown, the service that sends our emails. Buttondown uses the IP address to screen signups for spam and to estimate a general location.
• Buttondown then emails you a link to confirm. You get no other email until you confirm.
• Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your address removed, you can also write to info@delamstudios.com.

What is stored on your device

• mercifall_first_touch and mercifall_last_touch in your browser's local storage: the campaign tags, referring website, landing page, and time of the first and latest campaign visit.
• When Google Analytics is active, its own first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to count visits.
• Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.

Services we use

• Google Analytics 4, provided by Google (Google privacy policy).
• Hosting and Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel (Vercel privacy policy).
• The launch email, sent by Buttondown (Buttondown privacy policy).
• TestFlight links open Apple's TestFlight, which Apple runs under its own terms (Apple privacy policy).

Your choices

You can block cookies and site data in your browser settings, clear this site's stored data at any time, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.
